Traditionally, Cabochons are un-faceted gemstones with a flat unpolished bottom and a domed/rounded polished top. They are often set within a metal setting known as a bezel. Cabochons have enjoyed popularity throughout history, particularly during the Victorian age. Cabochons were seen to symbolise wealth, prestige, style and feminine grace and are as enticing today as they have been in the past.
